2025 HBL Dates

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Home-based learning (HBL) refers to a structured approach where students continue their education from home, typically through a combination of online lessons and independent assignments. During HBL, students engage in live virtual classes and complete tasks such as worksheets or projects at their own pace. This approach is designed to ensure that learning remains consistent, even outside the classroom, while fostering greater student autonomy. Teachers tailor lessons to include a blend of digital tools and traditional methods, ensuring that students gain a well-rounded education. HBL also supports the development of essential skills like time management, self-regulation, and responsibility, preparing students for future academic and professional success.

The HBL dates for 2025 are as follows:

• 14 Jan (For Secondary 2 to 4)

• 21 Feb (For Secondary 2 to 4. Secondary 1 will be included in this HBL if students have received their Personal Learning Devices.)

• 5 Mar (For Secondary 2 to 4. Secondary 1 will be included in this HBL if students have received their Personal Learning Devices.)

• 27 Mar

• 9 Apr

• 21 Apr (For Secondary 1 to 3)

• 6 May

• 21 May

• 3 Jul

• 15 Jul

• 16 Jul

• 17 Jul

Students will be briefed beforehand on where and how to access their assignments.
